Just did this yesterday and will be ordering a pcm this week. I also found a YouTube video of a guy doing the same thing and he shorted out the wire in the pcm to start his. you can try this. 2009 - 2014 Ford F150 - Intermittent "starting system fault" - The problem is definitely the ignition key itself.

Dash and everything lights up fine, starter wont run. Gear indicator shows P. (Park). Pulking into neutral doesnt make a difference.
